Build Your Blinds: Our Quality Guarantee

At Build Your Blinds, we take pride in our Melbourne-based manufacturing. Because we control the process from the moment you order to the moment it leaves our warehouse, we stand behind the quality of every custom-made product we ship.

1. The Build Your Blinds 5-Year Warranty

We provide a 5-year limited warranty on all our custom-made internal blinds and curtains. This warranty covers:

  • Structural Integrity: Manufacturing defects in the internal mechanisms, tracks, and components.

  • Fabric Longevity: Significant fading or material failure beyond what is considered normal wear and tear in Australian conditions.

  • Workmanship: Errors in the assembly process that occur within our Melbourne facility.

2. 7-Day "Arrival" Guarantee

Upon delivery, you have 7 days to inspect your order. If your product arrives damaged in transit or was manufactured incorrectly (e.g., the wrong size or color was supplied compared to your order), we will replace or repair the item at zero cost to you. Please take photos of the issue and contact us immediately.

3. DIY & Installation Exclusions

As a DIY-focused service, we provide the products for you to install. Therefore, this warranty does not cover:

  • Measurement Errors: Products manufactured correctly to the measurements you provided that do not fit your window.

  • Installation Damage: Any damage caused to the product, your walls, or window frames during the installation process.

  • Incorrect Use: Damage resulting from misuse, unauthorized repairs, or cleaning with harsh chemicals not recommended for the fabric.

4. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

5. How to Make a Claim

To start a warranty claim, please email our support team with your order number and clear photos of the issue. We aim to assess all claims within 2 business days to ensure your home stays beautiful and functional.

6. Measurement Mistake Guarantee

We understand that mistakes happen. If you have measured your windows incorrectly, Build Your Blinds will 'make it right' by providing a one-time replacement per order at a 35% discount off the current RRP.

  • Conditions:

    • The replacement must be for the same product and color.

    • The new measurements must be within 10% of the original dimensions.

    • You must notify us within 14 days of delivery.

    • Return shipping of the original item and shipping of the replacement item are at the customer's expense.
